Had a nice visit with OL's Little Wing last night. As Ottmar said himself, a very highly under rated album.

I too, have been listening to Los Lonely Boys and have practially worn out the cd. I'll probably have to invest in another one. Have you seen them perform live? They ROCK. The other CD, I'm most looking forward to buying is U2's new one coming out on Tuesday.

I'm with you what the new U2 album is oncerned. "How to dismantle an atomic bomb" - sounds like: "How to handle the blogger movement" ...
Little Wing was one of my summer albums this year and it was only this year that I dived into it. Didn't listen to Innamorare much instead. Hey, as I said to Adam, go and compare Little Wing with CSF - you'll find beautiful parallelisms (especially Snow Angel and Angel: Omnia Bona Bonis).

Los Lonely Boys freacking rock!!! Every song in that album is good. The harmonies are good, the guitar playing is good, the whole vibe is good.

Not to change the subject, I mean, please continue about Los Lonely Boys - I haven't heard them yet.
Anyway, I was just going to add my two-cents and mention that I recently got "In The Arms Of Love". Been listening to it a lot! Lately I'm swamped at work, haven't had much time to spend here at the forum. Anyway, I find that ITAOL is a good one to take the edge off and help me concentrate. Good therapy!

Somehow I always trap myself because I expect all OL fans to have all OL albums. So - Victor - what else don't you know yet? And I'm glad that you discovered ITAOL. It's partly like Dreaming but very different at the same time. A category on its own, as Matt said. Adam - have you made it up to Dreaming in the meantime?

Currently am in love with Jesse Cook's "Nomad" album, which I recently rediscovered. It's one of those albums that gets better as it goes along, and I never made it past track 5 usually when I first heard it back in May (although two of the songs, "Early On Tuesday" and "Qadukka-L-Mayyas", are favorites of mine). I took another plunge into it last week and was just amazed what I was missing on the latter portion. So wonderful.
LLB's album rocks, too ;D

I have been listening a lot to this Spanish Rock band called Maná. I really like this band. I have all of their albums. If you don't mind listening to Rock with Spanish lyrics, I recommend you check them out. This is pop rock. They are hard to describe, but they have something for everyone.

Heard a lot about them when being in Spain. They are good but out of my radar at the moment. U2 new album/single: does anyone know why Bono count "unos, dos, tres, catorce" in the beginning? It's even printed in the booklet so wanted this way. The very first listen was like listening to Achtung Baby back in 1991. All songs passed through and I thought "what?" ... but the second listen already made me diving into Vertigo, Sometimes you can't make it on your own, A man and a woman and Yahwe more. A very direct album but what else? Gotta come back to it. Yahwe is very nice though, typical Bono lyrics, opening up himself.

Boris, would you be shocked to know that "Leaning Into the Night" and "Little Wing" are high on my list of albums I don't have yet?! Not to worry, my wishes have been made known to Santa and I've been a very good boy this year! (At least as far as Santa knows. ;D)

Mighty Uncle Tito--Which Maná album would you recommend first?
Oh, and I'm falling more and more in love with the LLB album on every listen, it's so good! Nothing too depressing on it, it's all upbeat, great to listen to when I'm down because it always seems to pick up my mood. One of my favorite albums to listen to atm (at the moment).
Oh, and Frusciante just released his latest album, A Sphere in the Heart of Silence, which I like, but it's not one of his best. Very electronica, a la Radiohead's Amnesiac or Bjork's Vespertine. Got some good tunes on it (out of a seven track album, ~40 min), but I've always prefered Frusciante's focus on melody, songwriting, and guitar. The first track, "Sphere", is really cool, though. A 10-minute instrumental with a cool synthesizer riff going on throughout the song, and a guitar jam coming in about halfway through. Nice.

If you want to check them out I recommend that you get Cuando Los Angeles Lloran. They have put out three albums after this, but I think this pretty much sums up what they do. If you want to try something more current (Angeles is 10 years old), their latest, Revolución de Amor, is very good. It has some cameos from Santana and Rubén Blades.
If you want to check out more Spanish Rock bands just let me know

Mana rocks too! Their "Suenos Liquidos" is one of my favorites next to the Unplugged Cd.
