I spent most of yesterday afternoon repeating the first four tracks. The thought of seeing OL perform these tracks live is awesome. I can't wait to see how the rest of the album and any tour that supports them comes together.

those four tracks were running up and down my comp when i looked thru my pics last weekend. they are wonderful. i have some thoughts about this emanation of ottmar but want to give it second thoughts, especially regarding what he wrote today about originals. nonetheless to have him play them live would be a blast. but since they are improvised, quite certainly they'll remain unique pearls.

Ottmar Liebert offers 6 new improvisations he recorded on March 2nd, 13th and 17th for purchase in his Listening Lounge: www.ssri.biz/index.php?c=64. The tracks form part of the so far online-only album called "Tears in the Rain" and are gitarra flamenca only. Those are musical jewels, friends, go and download them!!

The former online-only album with the working title "Tears in the Rain" has become a wonderful butterfly and will be released as a CD later in 2006 with the title "One Guitar". All the 13 songs which feature Ottmar Liebert playing his Flamenco guitar have now names and a very beautiful cover art has been created. If you want to know more, check Ottmar's blog under the new adress: www.ottmarliebert.com/diary/ Or go to his flickr album and follow the "One Guitar" tag, www.flickr.com/photos/o2ma/The original yet unnamed tracks you can still find in Ottmar's Listening Lounge. See above entries for the link.

Since the beginning of this week, the "Tears in the Rain"-tracks are no longer available for purchase in Ottmar's Listening Lounge. Reason is that the former download-only album has transformed into the album "One Guitar" that will be acquirable as CD as well. Publish date should be around August - as soon as Ottmar comes back from the Australia tour. The new album - and therefor the according mp3 - of course will be available then (again) as a download version in the Lounge, yet in a new section. If you want to know more, check Ottmar's blog for news.
