It's all R + R doing their thing. Robbie plays the cajon and I think that fills in nicely.

Correct, palmas is hand clapping. I guess OL just figured that Ron and Robbie should be hitting their drums instead of their hands. It would have been nice to have the band start clapping and have the audience follow along.
