Just feel like mentioning them. They put out two incredible "futuro"-Flamenco-CDs called "Bari" + "Vengue". With "Bari" comes the Remix-CD "Remezclas de la casa" (very funny: translate it to "house remixes"). "Bari" helped me a bit to put OLs "nouveaumatic" in the right place cause I noticed that NVMT is more Flamenco-Lounge (softer, calm) than the rough+agressive Flamenco of Ojos de Brujo. Does anyone know comparable artists? Can anyone recommend the Futuro Flamenco-compilations? BTW: I love NVMT.

What Ojos de Brujo do, they themselves call "aquí un poquillo de jiphop flamenquillo" (from the booklet) ... But stupid me! I should've known better. Ottmar never was about categories. No Futuro, no Lounge, forget about it.

Yesterday night there was a long report on Austrian TV about art + architecture in Barcelona. Very interesting, I love that city. They used some minutes to introduce the music scene there. There's one speciality called Zona Bastarda where e.g. Manu Chao belongs to. And of course Ojos de Brujo. If you like that modern aspect of Flamenco + that melting idea OL sometimes talks about, you could try this...

Has anybody heard of Chambao and can tell anything about them? Should fall into the direction of what is called "futuro flamenco", "flamenco lounge" or "flamenco chill" ... but I may be completely wrong here ...

Just received Chambao's "Endorfinas en la mente". Very loungy, could be more guitar à mon avis. I come back to it.
