You feel the Guitar cries and emotions calling you on every song. I have listened to them for the past 2 years - Great stuff. Has anyone listened to either one? Check their website and sample some music: armik.com , oscarlopez.com

I have a CD called "Gypsy Passion". It's a compilation of a dozen different "new flamenco" artists, including Oscar Lopez and Armik (and of course the great Ottmar Liebert). It's a pretty good CD if you want a broad sampling of different artists.
But I haven't really checked out any CD's exclusively by either of these guys. Any specific recommendations Michael? Anyway, thanks for the tip - I'll check out their websites!

How is Armik's "Isla Del Sol"? Daniela Sofronie, the Olympic gymnast from Romania, had this incredible nuevo flamenco song as her background music for the floor exercise, I saw it twice and really wanted to know what it was...turns out it was "Marabella" off that album. I'm going to check it out now! PS Daniela Sofronie may have had the great music, but Carly Patterson was a better gymnast. And she was cuter

I was wondering whose music that was? I thought it might have been Govi. Let me know if you like it. I'd like to check it out myself.

Nope, it was definitely Marbella, off Armik's "Isla Del Sol"...I downloaded the album as a preview, to see if I want to buy it, I like that song, but I don't know about the rest...
(Carly Patterson was still better)

I'm actually quite a fan of the track events, being a runner myself...

Hey, me too. I did 200m and 400m, but that was 10 years ago. I made it to the South German championships when I was 21 but stopped when being in the army. Only thing I do now is mountain-biking and jogging (10-12km), sometimes swimming. But well, this is off-topic here, so I stop. (I'm looking forward to see the decathlon.)
