No, what I meant by comical was all the stuff in the entry about how it's not traditional or pure flamenco, whatever that is. Sorry if that wasn't clear. I can change new to nouveau later, I only added new because there was already an entry for new flamenco and it mentioned OL. Gotta run now.

Marijose - note that there's a discussion at Wikipedia whether it should be called "new" instead of "nouveau". I'd use "nouveau" and think it should be especially regarding the critics.
You've written a nice and objective entry, good for an enciclopedia. Thanks.

Thanks, I changed it to nouveau yesterday. Feel free to change anything in the entry, of course. I wrote it while trying to do several other things at the same time. It's been a busy and fun weekend, lots of great memories already involving our new Bavarian au pair and her German au pair friends...ah, to be 19 years old again! What a hoot.

It was especially this Walden prefering to speak of new instead of nouveau. No problem with "new", it's simply that "nouveau" is that special description of Ottmar's style. And this Walden, who seems to work for Wikipedia, doesn't seem to know anything about Ottmar and Nouveau Flamenco. Good luck with the Bavarian au-pair. I got to know a Russian au-pair working here recently who was rather unlucky. But it's a calm region here, very different to a larger city. Being 19 again? No, not really. 25 would be nice.

I agree, if we're going to categorize it, nouveau is best. It's a genre that Ottmar essentially started himself.
