Wikipedia is an amazing encyclopedia, because anyone can create or edit pages. I created the Ottmar page when I saw there was none, and put in the basics, though I haven't had much time to update since. Look at the top, it says "Edit this page"...there ya go

That we should do. Hey, Matt, do you want to write something about Opium?
If some more want we should meet in the chat soon to talk this thru. I'm with you, Adam.

Adam -- I typed in the track listing of nouveaumatic and La Semana, but have no idea how to add the jpgs.
Furtheron, don't you think the site gets a bit long if we type all songs? Maybe just the album-discography?

I'll start work on the Opium overview. This should be interesting, how do you describe the most incredible two disc set known to man?

I have written short reviews in German for amazon.de about all of OL's albums and the DVD. The last two I wrote were Opium and THBND for the same reason you point out, Matt!
I have updated Wikipedia by writing down all the album titles, the year they were published and some little other stuff... Could you check it, Adam? I don't understand why the colour sometimes is red, sometimes blue. I'm not sure how to create a free line.
Finally I think that a track listing for all of OL's albums would be too much. Reviews should be better.
Oh, and it might be better if you don't say that OL works on the page himself. I'm not sure about the law but that way we could reach the point where it looks like advertising. Tell me your opinions, fanmencos!

I see you've read this post. Okay. I continue tomorrow.
Just one thing: Wikipedia doesn't accept the "+", and I've found no way to make it do so. That's why I use the "&" e.g. in "Poets & Angels". A pain in the Adam is So Sexy what "Christmas + Santa Fe" is concerned cause here OL set the "+" with purpose. But what can we do?

Very well done, whoever that was!
I would just put the Best ofs in an own category because they are not really OL's but powered by the record companies. The Epic-Best of is missing, btw.
Is the cover of 3is4goodluck needed? I have it. Just tell me.

No problem, Boris 3 is 4 good luck cover would rock, yeah. and i put the ones that were on OL's official catalog...the epic best of wasnt on there, as he was in no way involved in its making

But OL wasn't involved in the HO Bestofs either, was he?

He was at least informed of them beforehand Not sure how much hand he got in them, but....I took what I got from his official catalog, basically, felt it's the best way.

Friends of Ottmar, don't hesitate to work on the Wikipedia entry about him. That's how it's meant to be. Somebody wrote a kind of dislike part recently there. I went over it once when having noticed it because it was not critical but unfair in the sense that it was one-sided and did not credit Ottmar's development at all. The guy was one of the Flamenco fundamentalists and had no idea what Ottmar is all about. Neither do I in complete plus English is not my mother tongue. So it would be great if one of you could look thru it. Matt Callahan might soon when he finds time but any helpful typing would be appreciated. In that sense, Adam, cake-loving IT genius, could you add the cover of the "Tears in Rain"-album as well as "Winter Rose" to the discography?

That latest revision was actually pretty comical. Isn't there a rule about how you should not define something by what it isn't? Also, what exactly is pure flamenco anyway - where is it in this diagram: herso.freeservers.com/famtree.html ? As I often say, it would be very nice to be able to get away from labels and enjoy good music or art simply for its own sake. So I went in and made a few edits...I think it's much more balanced now. Also methinks Jon Gagan should have an entry if he does not mind.

Since I made some corrections on what the critic had written, it appears that you are calling my entry comical.
I'm happy that you worked on it. It's indeed more balanced now.
But shouldn't it be called "nouveau" instead of "new"? I mean, there's a reason why it was never called "nuevo" as e.g. the work of Gerardo Nunez was called. That's why I found the critical lines rather unfair.
