Oh btw Adam, if you decide to record more stuff, search google for "Audacity," should be the first or second result. its a free music recorder, which is actually quite good in my opinion. Then you can head down to Best Buy or Circuit City and just buy a cheap 20 dollar mic, or you can use a computer mic. It works great just for some quick home recordings.

Hey Brad, thanks for the tip on that "Audacity" freeware! I downloaded it today and started playing with it. It seems to work really well. I had been trying another freeware recorder called "Quartz Studio Free". It didn't seem to work very well with either the build in PC mic or the little external mic I bought. Seems like it would need a mic that amplifies the signal. Besides that it wasn't very intuitive to use. "Audacity" seems superior on both counts. Cool stuff!

Ya no problem. Ive tried a few others and Audacity has had the best performance of all the other free recording programs. Victor you were right about needing a mic with power. Audacity works perfectly for me without having a powered mic, but I need some better recordings, so I am purchasing a mixer for a 100 dollars...It has mic preamps in it and also itll help me record other instruments.

Right on Adam, my first time listening to your composition, way to go! I started playing around your age, but didn't sound anything like that.
And no worries on the mistakes here and there, it was a one-take minimal practice recording, and sounded fine. Hint -- never mention your mistakes, most likely people won't hear them unless you point them out.
Later on man and keep it flowin'~

Thanks David! ;D We're working on our second composition right now...Seth sent me the most amazing rock ditty for me to record over, just some chords, arpeggios, etc., but really great stuff. The problem is going to be finding just the right flamenco part for me to do that won't disrupt the beauty of what he's already made...

I'm not a flamenco player by any means. I don't even fingerpick. But I have some modern rock tunes that I'm working on that, if you don't mind, would like to post here. It would be something like "Fanmencos playing hard rock".
Is that cool with everyone?

I really like it! The chord progressions are great! I think it's a great start to a "whole song" as you put it.
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the replies ;D
I recorded it with a Shure SM57 Mic connected to a Behringer UB802 mixer. I really like that sound, but my mixer broke so I had to return it for another, and now I cant get the sound right again, its annoying me a lot.
